Happy Father's Day!

Jordan...

Watching you grow as a father has made me love you even more.

Just the way you make Suzi laugh, read her books, rock her to sleep...

And when you agreed to wear that Hotsling I bought you, I knew for sure you were going to be a great dad!

Suzi and I are so lucky to have you!

Happy Father's Day!
ETA: I just entered this in Baby Sling Blog's babywearing photo contest here. You should enter too, but hurry! It ends today!

Happy Father's Day, Jordan
You are an amazing father of your child, Suzi.
You can see by the photos that Jordan and Suzi have developed a bond between them. His feeling of attachment is Fatherhood. May this bond only strengthen as Suzi gets older and will know that she has a loving, caring, nurturing, supportive father who loves her
tremendously.
BTW, Suzi is very fortunate and blessed since all of the above applies to you, Jenny, too.

Hey Jenny!
These aren't related to this post, but I wanted to be sure you got them.

- I am just getting started with DAR. Both my grandma and my husband's grandma are active members. I am having fun already, and it's helped in meeting new people.

- Juno is my favorite movie right now. I own it, actually. Brett hates the soundtrack but I dig it so I make him listen to it in the car.

- The Business of Being Born is a movie I think ALL women should see. I am a big proponent and fan of fertility awareness for birth control, and BOBB really falls in line with a lot of my beliefs. I'm not planning on kids until next year, but I've already been reading up on the midwife/home birth laws in GA and having been in talks with my insurance. I def. am going for a home birth attended by a midwife and doula, with a birthing center as a second option. I can't get over how many people think that idea is crazy.

- I'm also interested in attachment parenting/cosleeping/etc. so your blog is right up my ally! My mom actually nursed my youngest sister until past age 2, when she weaned herself. So I actually have someone in my corner on that one.

I wanted to add that I think it's really important for couples to start thinking about what they value in terms of parenting styles before they actually have children. People spend much more time shopping/decorating/etc. then thinking about all the options. I refuse to believe that the only/best way to parent is the way the majority of society does (i.e. prevalence of planned/voluntary cesareans, bottle feeding without lactation issues, and store bought diapers).

Yay! That is awesome. My hubs would never wear a hotsling. I am jealous!
